In the world of food, we often talk about clean eating; organic, raw and untouched by anything except the dirt it is grown in. Food in its natural state, free from chemicals and processing, is essential for good health. And, there's another item to cleanse that promotes good health.

It's your energy.

We all can feel the difference between days of high energy and low energy. In our mind we know we can do something about those low days but its tough to get motivated without the energy to get motivated...a vicious circle, indeed.

Taking a walk, meditating, praying, doing something good for yourself all work. And so does smudging. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but it does. The smoke clears the air, and it's easy to believe those negative vibes go right along with it.

I like to make my own smudge sticks from lavender and rosemary growing in my garden.

The energy it took to cultivate these is released when burned and lifts my spirits in an ethereal way. I feel renewed. I feel refreshed. I feel clean.

"The ground we walk on, the plants and creatures, the clouds above constantly dissolving into new formations - each gift of nature possessing its own radiant energy, bound together by cosmic harmony. "
